“I saw him coming back from Pljevlja in a civilian car. He was in the co-driver’s seat,” witness Sinisa Vujovic said.

Kornjaca is charged with having participated in the murder of 28 civilians, who were detained in the hunters’ house at Mostina, after a member of “Plavi orlovi” (“Blue Eagles”) paramilitary unit had been killed in May 1992.

The former Commander of “Plavi orlovi” paramilitary unit is charged with persecuting Bosniaks from the Cajnice area.

Witness Vujovic said that he was in front of the hunters’ house, when Veljo Tadic came and cocked his rifle, asking a person to give him the keys. After he had fired several bullets, the witness ran away.

Witness Njegos Manovic confirmed these allegations. He said that Veljo Tadic asked him to unlock the hunters’ house on May 19, 1992.

“He asked for the key, but I did not give it to him. He then cocked his rifle. I dropped the key and left. (…) I went to Mostina crossing with Sinisa,” Manovic said.

Later on he saw Veljo Tadic going towards Mostina. He then hid in the woods, because he was afraid.

“Looking from the woods, I saw a car going from Pljevlja to Cajnice,” the witness said, adding that he heard, later on, that Milun Kornjaca came from the direction of Pljevlja.

Indictee Kornjaca said that he wanted to examine some other witnesses. The Trial Chamber requested him to submit a list of witnesses to it.

The trial is due to continue on May 29, when the Chamber will announce whether it accepts the indictee’s proposal or not.
